Ancestry Talks into Schools Programme
Schools enrich children education by offering activities not prescribed as part of the National Curriculum.
I have spent more than 15 years delivering talks to more than 60 secondary schools (9,000 students). I have spoken to pupils learning about Empire and Slavery as part of the KS3 history curricula, and ancestry as part of an enrichment programme.
The school environment has changed rapidly in the last few years. Schools across the UK are under tremendous pressure to reduce costs. Few schools can afford to invite speakers to deliver high-quality talks to pupils.
You can support Ancestry Talks into Schools Programme by simply choosing from my menu rewards!
Any income derived is ploughed straight into the Ancestry Talks with Paul Crooks Schools Programme to cover
- the costs of preparing talks and workshops
- costs involved in delivering talks and workshops
- travel, parking & subsistence, accommodation (visits outside the M25)
- unforeseen costs
Ancestry Talks enriching the school curricula?
The Emory University study. It found that family stories provide a sense of identity through time, and help people understand who they are in the world. People who know more stories about their extended family show higher levels of emotional well-being. They also show higher levels of identity achievement.
I want to take the Ancestry Talks programme to more schools in London. I specifically aim to target the following local authority areas in London and the West Midlands: Hackney, Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth, Croydon, Brent, Redbridge, Newham, Waltham Forest, Harrow Wandsworth, and Hammersmith, Birmingham, and Sandwell).

Ancestry Talks with Paul Crooks Reach Out Programme
I have given many people in communities across England free access to expert insight into tracing Black Family History.
Presenting genealogy discoveries interwoven with Black history references, I invite communities to discover how Black family history can be harnessed as powerful tools for exploring self-identity and self-empowerment.
I am not funded to do what I do. So. I have to innovate to keep Ancestry Talks on the road.

I'll continue to or enhance and extend my programme within and beyond London's M25 if I communities continue to support and encourage me. We want thousands more to gain access to my unique programme of Ancestry entwined with Black History talks and workshops.
I'll reward you for your support - have a look at the Ancestry Talks Reward Zone and select your reward.
